I made my way to Langdon Beach near Fort Pickens well before dawn on a chilly January morning. Color was just coming in the sky to the East and it seemed to have potential.

Searching along the beach for a nice composition I came across a large island of beach grass overlooking the incoming waves.

The morning sky was now coming into full bloom with bright oranges in the highlights and dark purples among the clouds, while the water offered that emerald green we have come to love.
